Wolverine 3 Filming in New Mexico

As we told you here, here and here – the rumors are true. Hugh Jackman will take up part-time residence as a member of the New Mexico film community.

Production on the third installment of the franchise begins this month. Shooting will continue for several months in New Orleans and in multiple New Mexico locations. The yet to be titled movie is set for release on Mar 3, 2017.

Very little is being reported or even speculated about the film’s plot. It is confirmed that Richard E. Grant and Patrick Stewart will join Hugh Jackman and Boyd Holbrook in leading roles.

Patrick Stewart himself is quoted as saying that he will appear in the film reprising his role as X-Men’s Professor X and it is being publicized that Grant will play villain to Hugh Jackman’s iconic portrayal of Logan née James Howlett.

Wolverine 3 producer Simon Kinberg tells Collider, “It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film…It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies.”
