Jeff Bridges to film in New Mexico once again OHI

NM filmer Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart, True Grit) is rumored to be headed back to the Land of Enchantment. This time around the Oscar winner will be starring in the contemporary heist movie, “Comancheria”.

Variety reports: David Mackenzie is directing from a Black List script written by “Sons of Anarchy” actor Taylor Sheridan. Producers Sidney Kimmel, Peter Berg’s Film 44 and Julie Yorn acquired the script in 2012, and plan to start production in June.

According to a hot tip the project, speculated to also star Chris Pine (Star Trek, Into the Woods) and Ben Foster (Lone Survivor, 3:10 to Yuma), is expected to begin pre-production in the Albuquerque area within the next several weeks.

Deadline reports: The story follows two brothers, one an ex-con and the other a divorced father of two, facing the foreclosure of their family’s West Texas farm. They team for a bank-robbing spree that puts them on a collision course with a Texas Ranger determined to take them down. Bridges will play the law; Pine and Foster are circling the roles of the brothers.

Thanks Joey!
